Proposition 65 Statement

California Proposition 65 Attention California residents: California’s Proposition 65, or Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act (Prop 65), entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels.

ABKT takes product safety very seriously, being that ABKT falls under the minimum employees required to report, we still want to report what we know about our products and takes all necessary steps to comply with all applicable safety and health requirements.

ABKT provides the following general warning pursuant to Proposition 65 for certain products sold on this page/site.

Nylon Cases WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including Di-n-hexyl Phthalates and Lead Acetate which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Knives with Brass Trim WARNING: The brass components of this knife product contain lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling this product and before handling food or placing hands into the mouth.

Knives with Nickle Silver WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including nickel, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer.

Knives with stainless and Carbon steels WARNING: The stainless and Carbon steels of this knife product contain lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling this product and before handling food or placing hands into the mouth.

Knives with Epoxy resins handles WARNING: The handles of this knife product contain paint, plastic and resin which may contain lead and/or other chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm unless otherwise specified by manufacture. Wash hands after handling this product and before handling food or placing hands into the mouth.
